This world has become a global village and after the invention of the Internet, and no information is too far from our sight. We can access tons of info with a single click. But this ease is not limited to written information only. We can watch our favorite movies, big hit TV show and marvelous videos with ease.
However some websites like Netflix, Hulu and Pandora are online streaming service providers which only work in the US and they read the IP addresses of the device accessing their database before providing access. If the IP address belongs to the US, they allow it to stream down videos and other stuff from its servers but, if the IP address belongs to some other part of the world, they simply reject the login requests. If someone in the US is using these websites, travels to some other part of the world like to Europe or Asia, he or she can’t access these websites.
Furthermore, sometimes, it is not possible to do important work just because your IP does not belong to the US. Many Google applications are blocked in China, which means if someone sends you a Google Doc, you can’t open it. If you’re running a web sites and want to track traffic, you can check Google Analytics. And this is just part of the problem. Different countries have different laws, and internet censorship is not limited to “the famous ones” like China and Saudi Arabia. As much as there is information available on the Internet, there are just as many people trying to control it.
Even communication can be difficult. There are many countries out there that block VoIP calling devices, rendering Skype and Google Chat useless. Opening sites and receiving information can be difficult if you’re located in a country that doesn’t have a great reputation with regards to spam, hackers, and viruses. Have you ever tried to send email over Russian Internet? You’re sure to run into problems.
A US VPN is a Solution:
Every problem has a solution and I have a very workable solution to this situation. Get a US IP address by using a VPN. A VPN (virtual private network) provides you the service of a US IP address and gives you a secure way to get access to the websites which are only permitted for the user inside the US. A US VPN not only gives you the facility of watching high quality videos online from outside the US but also gives you a secure line for sharing your files, playing games and facilitates you in downloading different software which are not available anywhere other than US based users and servers.
A VPN not only helps you in with getting access to the newest entertainment coming out of The US (ie watching your favorite videos online) but also enhances your online browsing speed and gives you the experience of secure and anonymous surfing on the internet. Wait…did you say “enhances your browsing speed”?. Yes. This doesn’t happen all the time, but in countries that censor the internet, they do something called “Throttling”. This means that although they don’t block a site, they limit the bandwidth of traffic coming to and from the site. By using a VPN US IP address, you can avoid this throttling and access the site at your full available bandwidth.
A US IP with a VPN can also help gain the trust of people you communicate and do business with online. Regardless of where you’re actually from, a US IP attached to your phone or computer just might help.
There are many VPNs available which provide their services in different parts of the world. For an authentic US IP address, you should find a VPN US IP address provider. You may have heard of proxies and know that proxies also can also provide US IP address. For a quick fix, a proxy may work. They do hide your IP address, and can temporarily provide you with a US IP. However, they do not encrypt and tunnel your traffic, which makes you more vulnerable to being discovered. Netflix and Hulu block proxies from accessing their sites. Many other sites can easily detect and block users using a proxy to access their site. Because they’re easy to set up, some users use them for illegal activity, and you’ll find that it’s a lot harder to gain access to blocked sites using a proxy. Also you won’t be able to choose your location. A proxy is usually, “what you see is what you get”.
A VPN which provides US IP address will usually have its servers in many locations in The US. This means that it could route your data through their servers in New York, Texas, LA, Washington and it’s all available for you to choose.. Changing your actual IP address to a US IP address is as easy as clicking on a server location, and then “connect”.
For a VPN US IP address, I’ve got three suggestions.
1. 12VPN
This is a great VPN for new users. Setup involves no brain work, and specifically for US IP addresses, they’ve got a US Only service with 10 servers in different places across The US. It’s simple and to the point, with nothing to distract or confuse you. This is the VPN I use most often. They’ve also got great customer service – like none I’ve seen in any other VPN provider. Mac, Linux, Windows, iPhone, Android, Nokia, and tons of other devices I’ve never heard of – if you can connect to the internet with the, they’ve got a VPN for it.
2. Hide My Ass
This is also a great VPN. Not only do the have multiple locations in The US, but with their VPN package they’ll give you thousands of IP addresses in 35 countries. PPTP, L2TP and SSL/OpenVPN all come in one pack. It’s sort of like, get everything together at one time type deal They’ve also go other anonymous surfing tools like proxies, email protection, and static IP addresses. Just about anything to do with anonymous surfing and changing IP addresses, they’ve got available at their site.
3. StrongVPN
No VPN list would be complete with StrongVPN. They’ve got VPN packages set up based on region, and can hone in on your VPN needs to provide the best VPN for you. You’ll pay less for a US only VPN, but there are other options available. It’s a bit pricier than the other two, but they’ve got live support, and a very professional service. In my experience, this VPN was also a bit faster than other one’s I’ve tried. If all you need is a PPTP VPN (the standard for phones and laptops), then there’s a package for $55 USD a year – a price you won’t find anywhere else.
